I made these flowers and vegetables into pins. The book has many flower parts which you can combine. My favorite is the bunch of carrots so far which are stuffed with roving to plump them up.

I used various yarns, but found that DK or fingerling weight works best for dainty results. I’m thinking you could make some fun humongous items with big yarn and needles!

The book sometimes instructs you to use knitting when crochet is a better solution - like the carrot tops. Personally, I hated trying to knit a chain. After about 6 stitches, I bagged it and whipped out my crochet hook.

I have always found that patterns are merely suggestions…. just like rules!
