Notes

This is the first pattern I have loved so much that I made 2 garments with; it is that cool! I don’t like bell sleeves, so I modified the sleeves with a decrease for a close fit.

There is a problem with the pattern instructions for the strip edging. Here is the correct way:

Beginning in center ch 3 loop at corner of lg motif, standing single crochet, ch3 join in second loop of strip edging. SC in center corner loop. Continue according to pattern instructions, and it should come out right. If you get in trouble, message me and I’ll help you figure it out (my personal notes are still a little murky) But thet ch 3 at the beginning of the strip edging instructions is a mistake on their part.

I decreased the sleeve V stitch by working the last stitch in a decrease row as DC, ch 1, DC (instead of ch 2 as in a normal V st), then skipped the ch1 V st when I came back around. This resulted in a spiral down the sleeve, a slight variation I decided to live with, as the sleeve does decrease reasonably well.

I did a very hard V st decrease at the end of the sleeve (where it meets the wrist) bu using the ch 1 V st all the way around, then did 5 rows of SC for a snug sleeve.

Finally, I found it necessary to use the cotton (I used Muskat) at the neckline to keep it from stretching down off the shoulders. My neckline is a custom job in SC and CH 1 that I kind of worked out as I went along (sorry so vague LOL)
