I’m really happy with how he turned out--I thought he was going to be a little taller but seriously fattened out when I stuffed him. He is about 50 inches tall now. He isn’t stuffed firmly--more like a pillow than a teddy bear.

I followed the pattern almost exactly using 5 strands of yarn. The only changes I made were the decreases on the head. Rather than doing two decreases every other round, I did 4 every 4th round. Then, nearing the end, I sped them up to every other round. No real reason other than I was tired of knitting the thing.

I surfaced crocheted the mouth on with 3 strands of kitchen cotton.

He took a little over 10 pounds of fiberfill!

Overall, I’m completely in love. This is a Christmas gift for my six year old and I’m sure she is going to love him.
