Notes

This is my salal dyed yarn base. Salal is a native plant and this was an experiment in dying yarn from jelly remainders. Its rather hard to photo well as it seems to look more grey or more pink in some lights.

A few notes:

  • If you mark every repeat, do know that your markers may float a stitch. Sometimes you need one stitch from the right side of the marker to make your decreases. This will be consistent across the row.

  • The number of beads in the project does add a bit of weight to the WIP so you can expect it to pull on the yarn a bit more when you are working it on the needles.

  • I think there is something funky in Row 107 (Chart 3) Specifically the Triangle, Kfb, Triangle section. There aren’t enough stitches from the row below unless I’m missing something here. I did (R to L) SSK, kfb, K2tog in those stitches and it came out with the right number of stitches.

4/15 - Now up to row 45 out of 65 on the first chart. That means 20 rows with beads left until the bead-free chart 2

4/25 - Made it through chart two and now onto chart 3! And then.. Blocking!
