Started with the Mason Dixon hexagonal dishcloth (with added eyelets every other row), casting on provisionally, then picked up the cast-on and am working the following:

1: K
2: inc with YO either side of hexagon divides (as set out from dishcloth), K all other sts
3: K
4: Right leaning cross st, from Monteagle bag (also Mason Dixon!)
5: K
6: as 2
7: K
8: K, yo, k2tog

Repeating until I think it’s about 2/3 of the size needed to cover the brolly, then planning on soaking in water, stretching onto the brolly frame, and leaving to dry… whilst crossing fingers…

Will probably add a frilly/drop fringe/edge type thing, but after ensuring it fits over the frame!

WIP pic is loosely pinned, but gives some idea of the pattern, hopefully! Slightly off scrunched row is the funny/genuis right cross stitch, which when stretched properly should be a nice open row to allow some sun in….
