Using white worsted-weight scrap yarn for the head and the same variegated baby yarn I used for a very similar snake I crocheted for my niece, Clarabel.

I ran out of that scrap ball of white yarn before I could finish the head. Rather than trying to find a perfect match for the white, I just went ahead and joined the yarn for the body. I think it looks ok, but if I did it again, I’d prefer to have the head all one color.
