I’m making this square for my “Be of Good Cheer” Samplerghan. :o)

Hm. I’m not sure how I feel about this one. I felt a bit dissatisfied with it toward the end, but when I look at it with fresh eyes, I think it’s fine. It’s definitely highly textured, so if you like that…

My flower’s petals feel a bit bunchy; I have to arrange them just so to get them to look “perfect”, but based on other project photos on Ravelry, that seems to be the way most of them turn out.

If I were doing this again, I’d make the chains at the end of the floral overlay slightly shorter. Mine turned out a little bit longer than in the sample photo. Still, I’d rather they be a bit too long than so short that they distort the square.

Added a round of hdc (worked the same as the previous two rounds of dc) before finishing with a round of sc.

47 sts per side on last round (counting each corner center st twice).
