I couldn’t resist. Even though I already have a tiny-scraps afghan project in progress, I’m going to start this one, too.
I expect to be “collecting” the mini-grannies for a long while, using up small remnants of skeins. I plan to join the tiny grannies in either white or cream. (Leaning toward cream for a warm feeling.)
PATTERN NOTE:
Dear self, please remember that for these mini-grannies, the chain spaces are only 2-ch long-- not the 3-ch spaces you’re using for the other scrap-buster. (But I’m still starting with an adjustable loop for both.)
December 13th, 2012--
60 mini-grannies done.
February 1st, 2013--
10 mini-grannies added. (70 total)
Oops, accidentally made these (and five more that I haven’t yet woven the ends on) using a G hook. I don’t see any real difference in size between these and the old ones, though. I’ll try to remember to use the F hook from now on, just in case…
10 more added. (80 total)

PATTERN UPDATE:
I’ve decided that I no longer want to make a Granny’s Daughter afghan. (Too many of those tiny, tiny granny squares, and I find it less appealing now, for some reason.)
Instead, I’m using continuous join to put together squares of these micro-grannies, which I’ll then make into two cushion covers. I had to make 26 more of the tiny grannies to have enough.
Each side of the cushion covers uses 49 micro-grannies. I’m joining them with white Pound of Love yarn, which is a light worsted weight. Using an F hook throughout.
