I’m using a chart I printed off the Internet years ago, with no clue to its identity…

Ok, well, that one was a dud. Don’t know what was wrong-- me or the pattern-- but it was ruffling, and I didn’t want to work the whole thing on the assumption that it would come out in the blocking. (I’ve done that once before, and it was a disappointment.)

I ripped it back and instead used another printed-out chart from the Internet, of similar age and uncertain origin. It’s apparently from a Spanish source, but that’s almost all I know about it…

In some of the earlier rounds, I made hdc instead of sc, because I didn’t bother translating the key at first (assuming it used the standard international symbols). Once I began to get suspicious and took the time to translate the key, I realized that while most of the symbols are standard, those for sc and hdc are different. I don’t think it made too much of a difference, fortunately.
