January 2nd--
I had only knitted a row and a half before deciding that my stitches looked too loose, so I ripped back and restarted with size 11 needles. Cast on 80 sts, as per the pattern.

January 14th--
Finally worked on this cowl over the weekend. I decreased the “all knit” sections from six rounds to five. Now I’m at the point where the pattern tells me to bind off loosely, but I have 30 or 31 grams of yarn left, and I’m wondering if it’s enough to do another 5 rounds each of all-knit and ribbing (and then bind off)… I wouldn’t mind it being a bit taller, and if I stop now, that’s a lot of yarn without a purpose. Currently waffling back and forth…

I decided to go for it-- and had probably a couple of yards to spare. I was a little concerned I was going to run out, so I bound off a little more tightly than I might have done otherwise, but it’s fine. :o) Just need to weave in the ends and it’ll be ready by the time the cooler weather returns. (We’ve been having unseasonably warm temperatures, the past week or so.)
