Notes

No pattern - These are basically hackey sacks and embellishments were added using crochet, embroidery, felt and wiggly eyes. I tried a few things, so some of the birds in the bottom pic weren’t quite what I was going for and are going to a new home. The top pic has the finished set of game beanbags with wiggly eyes that will be used. I think I’m going to need to make the black and white bird though. Looks too empty.

What is this? This is a working Angry Birds game mounted to an over-sized sombrero for an annual hat contest at my office. I have to defend my title as Crazy Hat Day Champion 2010. Wish me luck! (update, the hat wins!)

How does it stay on? The black hat part is a cowboy hat with the top of the hat cut off and angled like a graduation hat to keep it level. Fits great.

The other hat is a Dollhouse Hat. Five furnished rooms, a few woven rugs and crocheted blankets. The hat was made from poster board on a foamcore base with a hole for the head. Made in one night (because I just happened to have a dollhouse - or 13 - to pick out some minis to go one it). Everything secured with scrap booking removable glue dots. The hats banner says, “Got a Dollhouse for my Kids - Good Trade!” LOL
