*ch5, tr, htr, * into 1st, dc, dc, *htr, tr, ch2, tr, htr, * into 1 st, dc, dc, repeat around, dc, dc, htr, join to chain, slip st into top of chain.
Tie off but do not cut (pull ball through final loop).
Leave short length and create new slip knot, repeat for next star.

Hide joining yarn in round 1 trebles and a treble in round 2.
Join is worked as tr, then slip stitch into loop from another star, ch1, tr, htr.
