This is a very nice pattern - I found the directions a bit strange - but it does cover the use of different yarns and different size, going by gauge so it ended up happily .

Beware - the pattern pages are not numbered - so if you haven’t got them attached together (guess who didn’t have?) it can make life very confusing when you have muddled up the pages!

the ball band says use 6-8 mm needle ( US 10 - 11) but I used a 3.5mm needle and got a nice soft close knit sweater. I guess if you use the bigger needle size it would be very open and lacy but I made this for warmth! The yarn is gorgeous 30% kid mohair, 30% polyamide, 30% acrylic - nevertheless, it feels like the softest pure wool mohair.
