The knitting is finished, and it has been for days. The blocking, well notsomuch. Still, I took a couple photos on Dollface, and it is perfect! Can’t wait until I can post a pic with the dress, too…!!!

One piece of advice…one word, actually…LIFELINES.

I am currently working on the garter stitch border of the capelet, 5 really loooooong rows, then bind off and start the collar. I think the collar will go pretty quick, compared to this “hem”!

There were many false starts on this, from yarn choice to waiting for new stuff, to realizing that I really should use lifelines more often than I think I should…but I am happily moving along. I am also considering a second, smaller shawl in the same style for the flower girl, but the jury is still out on that one. :o)

So, I have purchased the pattern and the yarn, and the wedding is in my sights. I am calling this a project today, and I hope to start actually knitting on it within the next day or two! Yay!
