Andrea gave away this yarn at farm knitting at least a few years back. I think I have a total of 10 50-gram skeins. Finally pulling it out, I love the color, and I’ve wanted to do this cardi for some time…win-win!

Hmmm, the label says “4,” which means worsted weight to me, but Rav has it classified as a DK…and it does seem thin. Keep going? Or find another yarn? Hmmmm…I’m gonna keep going.

20 rows for sleeve…
Work increases on row 21, row 23 is first pattern row.
Knit 8 rows in pattern before cast-ons.
After cast on, work 48 rows (start counting at pattern row 1)before bind off to get to 8”.
Work back section to 42 rows of pattern before cast on.
24 rows around collar, all done at the same time, for a more rounded neckline.
Well, I played a bit of yarn chicken…and I won! (But only because I bound off on the 24th row of ribbing, rather than knitting 24 before binding off.)
It fit before blocking, but it will fit better after…can’t wait to wear this!
