Love these! Really difficult to get a good shot of the gradation of the purples in the finished mitts, but in person, it jumps out atcha! Again, love these!

I don’t know which solid color I will use, but I have a ball of chroma in my stash that I think will be perfect for this! It’s super-secret knitting, so it will not be public until January, but I am really looking forward to these. I’ve made them once before, but I gave them away…so, why not do that again?

So, I picked yarn and cast on…and I think I love it! The first one is done, and I am loving the halo produced by these yarns. They do need some blocking, and I have mitten blockers I can use…but overall, the effect is stunning…can’t wait to cast on #2, and I wish I wasn’t at work today. =/

Mods:
Twisted German cast on…16 rows 1x1 rib in the round.
Top of hand ribbing, 10 rows after 1st row knit, then bind off loosely, in pattern. Top of thumb, same. Otherwise, knit as written.

Thoughts for next time:
I’m not sure I like the purled “seam” down the sides of the mitts. I think it would be just as effective to knit those stitches, all in one color, at the edges of the pattern…
