I love this hat, but I forget how this cotton yarn behaves when I don’t use it for awhile! My gauge is WAY BIGGER with this than with wool or acrylic worsted yarn, soooo…here are my

Notes:
Cast on 68, work 10 rounds 2x2.
Change to larger needles, knitting plain and increasing 4 sts evenly around on first round.
Work even to 6.5”, decrease every other round, to 16 sts,close top.

Ears (from project linked above, make 4):
CO 10 sts
Work 6 rows in st st
K2tog, K6, K2tog
Work next 3 rows in st st
K2tog, K4, K2tog
Purl Row
K2tog, K2, K2tog
Purl Row
K2tog, K2tog (2 sts remaining)
Break yarn and draw through sts
Sew 2 together with garter sides against each other to make 1 complete ear. Sew ears to top of hat.
