Based on mittens with a flap, using worsted numbers on DK yarn, with some mods. I have 48g left from her hat, so I don’t know if I’ll have enough for flaps…I’ll knit both mitts, adding thumbs and flaps if I have enough.

Not enough for flaps, but these will be good over thin gloves from the store, or on their own when it’s not too cold. :)

Mods:
Rib 24 rounds.
Knit to round 20 as written (for worsted).
K8 rounds plain, placing waste yarn (for flap?) on round 26.
2x2 rib 8 rounds, bind off.
Thumb - pick up additional 2 sts, decrease 3 on round 2, 2x2 for 8 rounds.
