This is a pattern I have wanted to do for some time. I am sure that adding the lace repeat will present a little challenge, but I think I am finally up for that challenge! I am happy to be knitting snowflake lace in June… :)

I have started the pattern, and the chart is a bit confusing, because I think the symbols are reversed from the written instructions (?)…I went through the chart and re-wrote the symbols, and now I can read it correctly while knitting. :o)

Mods: Original patt written over 52 sts (4 reps of 13st lace pattern). I will cast on 64, K2P2 for 8 rows, inc. 1 st to 65 before beginning lace (5 reps of 13st lace pattern).

With 5 reps of the pattern over 65 sts, here is how I divided for the heel/front of sock:
On last round before heel flap (row 11 of pattern), I knit all needles,, in pattern, as placed. With the last needle, continuing in the round, I knit an extra 3 sts from the next needle. Then, with the empty working needle, I knit plain across the next 30 sts, k2tog, k1 (total of 32 heel stitches), turn. Purl back, turn and continue as normal for heel flap. This leaves you with 2 repeats, centerd on the instep (26 pattern sts), plus 3 plain knit sts on either side of the patern sts, for a total of 32 instep stitches.
