When my grandson was born (Nov 2018), my daughter requested Christmas hats for herself, my son-in-law and the baby. So, here we go!

General Notes:
Cast on 144, rib 4 inches (44 rounds).
Stockinette 6.5 inches (66 rounds).
Total of 110 rounds.
Decrease by 8s, every other round, until 16 sts remain. Close top.

Mommy Hat specs/mods:
(4 red, 2 white, 4 green, 2 white) pattern
For ponytail/bun…
2x2 rib 46 rounds to accommodate stripes.
Stockinette 72 rounds.
Decrease to 40, work 2x2 rib 2 rounds and bind off loosely (I used a sewn bind off) to finish opening.

Daddy Hat specs:
(8 green, 4 white, 8 red, 4 white) pattern
Regular hat, color management mods are 44 rounds rib, 64 rounds plain to decreases. Decrease to 16 and close.

Baby Hat specs:
(2 red, 1 white, 2 green, 1 white) pattern
For 1 year-old baby, so using counts from Toddler size of Gotcha Covered. Cast on 112, 3” rib ( 33 rounds); ~4.5” stockinette (51 rounds) to decreases.
