Used this tutorial for a figure-8-two-at-once cast-on. Tricky, but fantastic!

January 29, 2011: turned both heels with short rows. Holes all around, sigh. at least it fits the YO in the pattern…

February 7, 2011: Finished! And with only ONE real mistake where I had forgotten to M1 and was, several rows later, two stitches short…
Used a nice stretchy bind-off explained here: knit or purl all stitches, as they appear. After the first two stitches, bring back to left needle.
If you had knitted the last stitch, knit together through back loop.
If the last stitch was a purl stitch, purl two together.
Repeat.
