Notes

The shape, construction and texture of this shawl is superb (Veera is a design genius!). And the yarn is really special (a baby alpaca, silk and cashmere blend!) and a dream to work with. Talk about drape…And of course the colour reminds me of Malabrigo’s ‘Applewood’ - never a bad thing…

Practical Notes:

Yarn is held double and a much larger needle size than usual is recommended by the pattern. If, like me, you don’t like your knitting to be too ‘see-through’/open, then you might want to go down a couple of needle sizes from what’s recommended (I can see that others have done so as well). Just a personal preference.

This really benefits from a good blocking and from blocking wires (please see last photo as to what this looks like (I only recently learnt this myself, so know how helpful it can be to actually see of photo of this)). If you want other tips for blocking, you can have a look at my ’Autumn Leaves’ project.

Thanks to ‘Meghanaf’ and her pretty work for inspiring me to use this yarn.
