This colorway is like a burgundy. Not sure if it shows up like that in the photos, but it’s a very pretty color.

I love the texture in this shawl, even though it doesn’t show up very well in most of the photos. I tried to get some that show the cables and the texture in the scallops at the bottom of the photos at the left (the last 3 photos).

I used the size 10 needle (instead of the size 9 called for in the pattern) for the cast-on and did a cable cast-on. And I used a size 7 needle for the body instead of the size 5 called for in the pattern. Again, I shouldn’t have done that because it made the solid stitch patterns too spacey looking. I’m learning my lesson to use the recommended needles on my shawls from now on, if for nothing else, to keep the pattern the way it should look.
