I started with a chain of 119 (mult of 3+2).
When I first started this pattern, I was getting a bulge on one side where there was 3dc in the last space. In other words, it wasn’t a nice, straight edge. It didn’t look right, so I took it out and started over and did the ends of the rows differently. I based this on the pattern Granny Stripe Baby Blanket. So the “Main Color Setup Row” ended with 2dc in the last sc instead of 3dc. And “Main Color Granny Row” started with only ch3, and NO dc in the very first stitch. I worked 3dc groups all the way across and ended with 1 dc into beg ch (i.e., I omitted the “2dc into last space”). I repeated these 2 rows twice more, for a total of 6 rows of granny stitch. Then for the colored stripes, I sc’d across, but skipped the next to last dc and did a sc in last st (for 118 sc).

Finished size: 39” x 39”.
