Finished size: 85” wide x 39” long x 58” sides.
Sizes listed to date are dry-blocked, since I’m measuring them as I’m progressing. I will get final blocked measurements when I’m done. I’m loving knitting this shawl. Every chart is a new pattern; keeps it interesting. Plus, because of the direction of the knitting (side to side instead of top down), every right side row only increases by 1 stitch. Very unique!
2/11/10: Chart 1 of 10; R. 1-96 of 712; 50 sts; 14” x 6”
2/12/10: Chart 2 of 10; R. 97-176 (80 rows) of 712; 90 sts; 20.5” x 14.5”
2/13/10: Chart 3 of 10; R 177-236 (60 rows) of 712; 120 sts; 28” x 20”; I made one small mistake in this part which I can fix when I’m done (a yo where there shouldn’t be one, which I can sew closed)
2/14/10: Chart 4 of 10; R237-296 (60 rows) of 712; 150 sts; 34.5” x 23”
2/15/10: Chart 5 of 10 (partial); R297-312 (16 rows) of 712; 158 sts; had a major tink-back of 4 rows, which took forever, so didn’t get very far today.
2/16/10: Chart 5 of 10; R 313-356 (60 rows) of 712; 180 sts. This brings me to the point at the center back, so from now on, the stitch count will decrease by 1 stitch on each RS row.
2/17/10: Chart 6 of 10 (partial); R 357-392 (36 rows); 162 sts
2/18/10: Chart 6 of 10; R 393-416 (24 rows today; 60 rows total in Chart 6); 150 sts.
2/19/10: Chart 7 of 10 (partial); R 417-452 (36 rows); 132 sts.
2/20/10: Chart 7 of 10: R453-476 (24 rows today; 60 rows total in Chart 7); 120 sts.
2/20/10: Chart 8 of 10: R477-536 (60 rows); 90 sts
2/20/10: Chart 9 of 10 (partial): R537-548 (12 rows); 84 sts
2/21/10: Chart 9 of 10: R549-616 (68 rows); 50 sts
2/21/10: Chart 10 of 10 (partial): R617-654 (38 rows)
2/22/10: Chart 10 of 10: R655-711 (57 rows)
