I found this pattern in a Crochet with Heart magazine from August 2001 (Design by Betty Parish)that I got a the thrift shop!

I tried to make this last year, having never made anything in thread. I thought how hard can it be? Wrong! I got frustrated and had to stop. Then I made a doily. I’m not sure why it was easier for me, but it was. Once I felt comfortable working with thread I came back to the bookmark and had great success! I’ve made several for my family and myself. I think they’re beautiful and make great gifts with your favorite novel. Plus they’re a good quick “In-between” project.
