Notes

This is a variation of my “Pretty Cocoon”. I wanted to do a button-up so it was easier to get on the baby.

The pattern is done in groups of 10. Directions for the butterfly stitch can be found here.

The stitch is also found in Love of Kniting, Spring 2013, Page 68.

It took just under three skeins to do the cocoon. I had enough left of the third skein to do half of the hat.

Measurements:
Cocoon:
Length - 20” with the collar up, 16.5” with it down
Width - 9.5” lying flat and unstretched, 11” flat and lightly stretched

Hat:
14” in diameter unstretched and 17” stretched.

The hat pattern I used is the Hello Baby Hat. Here is my project page for it.

Note to self: When done with this project, experiment doing entrelac with the leftover yarn. Also, maybe try doing this tea cozy if there is enough left over.
