gorgeous yarn, interesting pattern. Love the shoulder / yoke construction. The garter panel feels great, squishy!
This is the yoke construction
Yoke done 01/02/16 next working out how to separate arms and body
06/03 started the increases on the body and able to try it on. Looks good so far and fitting ok. I’m pleased.
Buttons from the fabulous Caroline Barnes Ceramics in Rockpool. Purchased at Unravel. Super pretty, not machine washable.
10/03 - flying now, just starting the wee pockets
13/03 - body complete, 320g.
20/03 - both sleeves done to edge of cuff. 26cm from join.
01/05/16 pug is down for a long time. Sleeves were not good and need completely redoing. Too skinny, too short. Stating sleeves again. I need a plan, to map them out.
- Knit 4cm from underarm join = 12 rows (92sts)
- Decrease on either side p1 ssk knit to end k2tog
- Knit for 3.6cm
- Decrease as above 14 times
- Start cuff (64sts) Length from under arm should be 42cm before you start cuff. 08/05 one done, ready to start cuff, sleeve is much better, not skin tight now. Adding cuff after 14 decreases. 65 stitches. 09/05 yaaaaasy finally - one sleeve done. 15/05 second sleeve, nearly done, just the cuff to go 19/05 second sleeve cast off, yaaaaay! Just pockets to go. I’ll be blocking by Sunday. 21/05 knitting finished!!! I can block. 22/05 all sewed up and buttons starting to go on 24/05 done This is a beautiful FO if I do say so myself. Beautiful yarn, luxury buttons, just superb. It looks like a smart jacket and has a lovely weight to it. I’m super pleased.
Very happy that me and Mr Boys appeared in Ysolda’s blog
