Cast on 45 stitches using a long tail cast on, leaving a short tail.

Pattern repeat

1. Purl a row
2. Knit a row
3. Knit a row
4. Purl a row
5. Knit 5, then wrap stitch 6, purl back
6. Knit 10, then wrap stitch 11, purl back
7. Knit 15, then wrap stitch 16, purl back
8. Knit 20, then wrap stitch 21, purl back
9. Knit a row, if the colour change is few stitches before the end of the row, modify row 8 on the next repeat by subtracting half the difference to the 20 stitches (e.g. if change is 6 stitches early, knit 17, wrap stitch 18), if if the colour change is few stitches after the end of the row, modify row 8 on the next repeat by adding half the difference to the 20 stitches (e.g. if change is 4 stitches late, knit 22, wrap stitch 23)

When the second last colour is reached (it matches the first), cast off

Sew the cast off to the cast on and weave in ends

Wash, dry flat/ in half, do not pin out tight unless you want it to grow and be loose around the neck
