20July2015: I finished this during the spring semester, and I’ll need to get some photos up. I love how it turned out and it was super easy to use. I wasn’t as thrilled with the yarn, as beautiful as it is, as when I started. Ran into some worn spots on the yarn that I had to fuss around, and the label notes that it’s not a color safe dye, which I didn’t catch when I bought it. Pretty color, but not buying it again at that price.

31Jan2015: it’s a 3 row repeat, but I had to touch up the writing to keep from getting confused each time I read back through the instructions. I also put the pattern into a Word doc and added check boxes next to the repeat instructions to keep track of where I am in the pattern. It is going pretty fast, and the Blue Heron yarn has such a short repeat that practically every shell stitch changes tone. Very enjoyable.

30Jan2015: Not sure about the set up, but lets see if blindly following directions will get me somewhere ….

Set up: Chain 4, DC in fourth chain from hook, Ch 2, 4 DC, Ch2, 4 DC, Ch2, 2DC, turn

I think I need to do all the work into the one chain. We’ll see ….
