This knit up quickly (especially once I figured out how to purl back without turning the work), and became much looser, both vertically and horizontally after dropping stitches. However, it was kind of difficult getting an accurate measure on how long I knit the stockinette portion because the Spa yarn on the bigger needles gave a lot of stretch to the fabric.

As this is a gift for a non-knitterly friend, the washability of the yarn is great. Photos added are taken post machine wash and tumble dry. I made no attempt to block.
