Notes

My mom purchased this yarn and said, “make me socks, (please)” but she wanted a really intense cable pattern, which would have been bad. I told her no, and that I had a better idea.

Skeeeeeew! (When this pattern came out I was so happy. I love how increasingly foot-shaped hand knit socks are becoming. I mean, there’s nothing wrong with a good short row heal, but we all know that heels and toes aren’t the same shape)

This pattern is fun, especially if you are good with memorizing and can see where things are going. The heel turn is awesome, the short rows to get to the ribbing are fun (though a bit poorly notated. I think we could have moved the start of round marker and not written things out in halfsies, but that’s just me and I didn’t come up with this awesome sock, so, I will bow to the author’s preferences)

I don’t know if I would knit this again in noro. It looks freaking sweet, but it’s a bit too fluffy without the elasticity it really needs.
