Notes

9-1-13 - Finished a headband for my hair, and I love it! I had an epiphany to help keep my hair under some control while riding with the hubby on the motorcycle. I sewed across the ends of the Celtic pattern part of the band, then I (gasp) CUT the band outside the stitching. Then I folded the end over and sewed an elastic ponytail holder between the ends. Ignoring my horrible sewing skills, I’m pleased with the end result. It’s about 18” long with 2” for the elastic. The best news is, not only did I finally put one of my numerous bands to use, it worked great after trying out on an all day ride! It stayed in place without much adjustment, it was snug and looked good. I got compliments on it, too, so bonus!

The original strap weaving project is here.
