Notes

11/3/15 totally finished with vest and decide to call it ‘For the Love of Earth’ because I have found many of the plants and lichens from the Earth. All of the color is either the natural wool or a plant or fungus which colored the wool. And, many times when I was knitting up this vest I was sitting in a campsite of an area where I found the dye materials. This vest involkes memories of beautiful Earth spots. Sadly, one of which showed obvious signs of stress and death due to our California drought and or climate change.
10/28/15 Cut steeks and seems to be successful…onto neckband.
10/28/15 crochet the steeks. Getting ready to cut. Wish me luck!
Realize I did not understand how the pattern would center or not…when I changed it. But, many store bought items do not center or match patterns either.

8-30-15 got gauge with a size 4 needle.

8-15 Using lichen and shroom dyed yarn.
Got my key done.
Now to start my swatch.

signed up for Craftsy class. Working on toning my color work, steeking and tension. Also, learning Fungi and lichen dyeing. I will incorporate my fungi/lichen dyes w. This project.
