• Final notes: I did 22 repeats and blocked to 15” x 43” which leaves me with a neck opening of 28” after sewing. The final size is comfortable without being too loose. Thank you to Paula for all her encouragement and patience and also for helping me choose this beautiful hazelnut color. Just posted more pictures, because there are so many ways to wear this.

I am happy to finally getting around to knitting this up.
Paula from the White Barn Sheep and Wool advised to scale down the ponchette by doing the size S and eliminating three of the lace repeats.
This is a very easy to remember pattern and would be a perfect project to take on the road; alas I don’t want to wait till October. Now I started I will keep going and even with just doing two repeats / day should have it done in about two weeks.
Some people have soaked the yarn in boiling water prior to knitting, but I only read this after I had wound my first ball. It is very hard yarn, almost like knitting with string, but I did recently see someone at the shop who made this pattern and the yarn does feel very soft after a few washes.
