This pattern is beautiful. I tried to crochet it in cotton thread with a steel hook but I just can’t do it. So I switched to an F hook and used thinner cotton yarn. Hope I have enough yarn to finish it.

Flower is done and working on leaves now.

Update: 12-17-14 On third round of red and ran out and have no more. I will have to frog that round, continue with white for remaining rounds and hope I have enough red to complete the last round in red. This yarn has dye lots so even if I found it again the color may not match. This yarn is lovely to crochet with no splitting at all.

Update: 12-18-14 Out of red and white yarn! I hoped to have enough red to finish the last round but I don’t. I think I will set this aside to after Christmas and see if I can buy more yarn, if not, I’ll have to frog more rounds I guess. I only had enough white to go to round 27 and red to round 24 with making the last round (32) at round 28…almost made it around with red.

Update: 9-19-15 I found the red Paton yarn at Michaels!!! Yippee now I can finish the last red round. Unfortunately I forgot I was also out of the white Paton yarn and didn’t look for it at Michaels. Errrrrr…..

Update 9/30/15: finished!!!! Bought the white yarn at Michaels.
