Scrap Afghan (design by Glenda Winkleman)

When I saw this pattern in its bright, cheerful colors and interesting stitch I knew I had to get it. I’m using yarn left over from my last two projects arranged in rainbow hues of color along with white and black yarn to separate the rainbow sections.

2/6/12 update: I haven’t forgotten this project - I have to buy more yarn before I can continue it.

Aug/Sept 2012: Started working on project again. Bought some new yarn in same colors but different hues.

Added single crochet edge all around in a light blue color.

It’s not perfect…edging off a little towards end. Don’t know how that happened. LOL! But I’m happy with it and I’m not frogging a third time. It matches my new chairs in my familyroom! That’s funny because I started this way back in October of last year long before I selected fabric and purchased my new chairs.

I love the feel of this afghan and the back is as pretty as the front. More pictures to add. I did lots of blogging on this project if you want more information.
