This was absolutely my rock getting through my PhD. I set a goal of 1 a day in late March 2023, and finished the knitting on New Years Eve 2023. Each one took me about ~45 mins, and I knitted them everywhere, conferences, meetings, on planes wherever. Originally I was going to stuff them, but they were so heavy and bulky with the stuffing, so I ended up picking them out. The black border was a late addition- I added them in about September, and then had weeks of only making black ones. The centre one is four strands of mohair, and is turned inside out. In total, I did 547 hexipuffs

The sewing was much slower: I had sewed all of the rows together and made the roses by March 2024, but it then took me until April 2025 to sew together the rows into triangles, and then the triangles into the hexagon.
