I found a wonderful skein of La Boheme at Great Balls of yarn while on vacation this spring. Unfortunately they only had one skein in this colorway ,but sense it was on sale and all of my mom’s favorite colors I had to get it. This shawl pattern was perfect for the La Boheme and the Wool of the Andes worked great with it as well. La Boheme is gorgeous but it was rather interesting working with it to say the least. I am a fairly new knitter and do not yet have a yarn swift or ball winder so getting the La Boheme ready to knit was just the first of the challenges it presented. The great thing about this pattern was that the yarn you start with is actually going to form the inside of the triangle so if you want to use another color to make a “border” you just continue to knit in the same pattern with the new yarn when your center section is as large as you want it.
