Notes

WOW - I’m totally enamored ;)
it’s breathtaking……lace does a soul good ~ and the golden yellow madtosh yarn is wonderful

(update: won a 1st place blue ribbon and a Best of Class at the 2011 Skagit County Fair ~ sweet!)

Sept 2012 - won a blue ribbon at the Evergreen State Fair - pretty darn cool!

and thanks to bayes001 for giving me my very first 200th ♥….it’s a silly thing but soooo cool ;)

4-29-11 - I had doubts but was able to block it to size

4-28-11 - newest photos are preblocking, but the knitting is finished! it’s already so pretty ~ I can’t wait to see what magic blocking does!

4-23-11 - finished the RI chart (a little sad that there’s nothing left but garter til the end!)

4-18-11 - ready for 2nd chart…today’s photos not the greatest ~ it will look so much better when it’s blocked and more open, but it’s exciting to see even a bit scrunched up how it will turn out!

4-17-11 - the lace edging is done and 70” long unblocked…no wonder it seemed to take forever! I am still completely enamored…..

one of my STP 2011 Yarn Train purchases from Knit Purl in Portland ~ coppery with bits of bright yellow that make it glow ~ love it!

I’m excited to try the madtosh Prairie ~ I adored the madlace

helpful hint: I downloaded a blank sheet of graph paper here and recharted the border chart so that all symbols are the same on the right & wrong sides ~ it’s confusing when the symbols mean the opposite on the reverse side ~ I redid it so that the same symbols always mean the same thing

I’m placing removable markers RS in the YO every 5 chart repeats for lace border ~ should make it really easy to count picked up stitches for next section (20st at every marker + 8 after the last marker)

4-13-11: 1/2 done with the lace border ~ hopefully onto the next section by the weekend!

~ I don’t know that I’ll ever get around to designing something of my own when others keep coming up with these incredible patterns ~ thanks, Jared!

and don’t even think about sending someone from A&E’s ‘Intervention’ to my door ~ I know what they all look like and I won’t answer….
