cast on #1 (notes here) as soon as the pattern came out…and it was such a joy to knit that I cast on #2 as soon as #1 was off the needles
I rarely make the same thing twice…and never one right after the other so that should tell you how much I love this pattern ♥
making the smaller version (no mods) but with dk weight yarns ~ using odds and ends in my stash and scrap bag to put this one together in all my favorite colors of autumn
gauge : 4”=20st x 29rows in Rowan Felted Tweed on a US7

- triangle : US 7 needle ~ used 60.5g of Rowan Felted Tweed DK (shade175~cinnamon)
- border set-up rows : used 9.0g of Rowan Felted Tweed DK (shade153~phantom)
- chart rows 1-8 : used 12.0g of Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool DK (shade07~burnt orange)
- chart rows 9-12 : used 7.0g Felted Tweed (phantom)
- chart rows 13-20 : used 12.5g of Rowan Felted Tweed DK (shade141~bilberry)
- chart rows 21-24 : used 7.0g Felted Tweed (phantom)
- chart rows 1-8 : used 14.5g of Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool DK (shade25~natural)
- chart rows 9-12 : used 8.0g Felted Tweed (phantom)
- chart rows 13-20 : used 17.5g Rowan Felted Tweed DK (shade155~pickle)
- chart rows 21-24 : used 9.0g Felted Tweed (phantom)
- chart rows 1-8 : used 17.5g of Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool DK (shade40~light celery)
- chart rows 9-12 : used 9.5g Felted Tweed (phantom)
- chart rows 13-20 : used 19.0g Rowan Felted Tweed DK (shade154~ginger)
- chart rows 9-12 & bind off row : used 15.5g Felted Tweed (phantom) ~ used a stretchy bind off with same needle for this section (k1, k1, move both back to left needle, k2togtbl, k1, move both st on right needle back to left needle, k2togtbl, etc)
- finishing garter edge and bind off : US 6 needle ~ used 12.5g Felted Tweed (phantom) ~ used regular bind off for this section with one size larger needle (US 7)

- spine : 30”
- sides : 35.5” each
Blocked Size:
- wingspan : 67”
