the scarf is finished, now it lays blocked on the guest-couch and dries…

I did not graft the second border (feather and fan) with kitchener stitch, as Liz Lovick suggests, I bound off and used whip stitch, as this is more familiar to me.

I will train to learn the grafting with the kitchener stitch, promised!

Das Tuch ist fertig und wird gerade gespannt. Es gefällt mir.
Entgegen Liz Lovick’s Anregung, die Verbindung von Tuch und zweitem Rand (feather and fan) mit Kitchener-Stich zu graften (ja wie soll ich das nennen?) habe ich mich für das Zusammennähen nach dem Abketten entschieden, die andere Methode muss ich noch üben.

A scarf with elements from 2 knitting cultures:

Fan and Feather and Ladder from Shetland (taken from Elizabeth Lovick’s The Magic of Shetland Lace) and Raha from Nancy Bush’s “Knitted Lace of Shetland”

Das wird ein Schal mit Elementen aus 2 Strick-Kulturen:
Ein Rand mit einem klassischen Shetland-Muster (Feather and Fan) und als optischer Trenner Streifen mit dem Ladder-Muster, alle aus Liz Lovick’s Magic of Shetland Lace, und als Hauptmuster ein estonisches Muster (Raha Pattern) aus dem Buch Knitted Lace of Estonia von Nancy Bush.
