Cast on Monday night. I’ve been trying to decide on a garment to make and keep really struggling with what I’d like to do. I’ve had Atelier in my queue for ages, so here goes.

My plan is to make this long sleeved, as I just cannot cope with shorter ones, its sleeves or not for me, nothing in between!

8/2/13 After a bit of a hiatus while I had a dodgy wrist (shopping injury!) I have come back to this and really enjoying it. Have finished the sleeves and picked up my stitches for each front, so now I’m pushing on down the main body part.

25/2/13 Its going well and I’m really enjoying it despite it being a lot of stocking stitch! Having the inc/dec row every 6 rows is great for keeping you interested.

3/3/13 Finished, washed and blocked. It grew a fair bit (always thought it would with the alpaca content) and I just love it. Pics when I find some daylight soon when I’m not at work :)

PS completely forgot to mention I knitted this without pockets. I have a terrible habit of loading my pockets with too much stuff and that definitely would not look good.

5/6/13 Bit of an update. This cardigan has been a huge success. It’s warm, comfy, fits perfectly and just gets so much use. I definitely see another on the horizon :)
