Hah!- I’ve recently been informed that someone thinks I can’t spell “walking” LOL!
I’ve been experimenting with this very simple geometric coat shape for several years now, this is my 6th version & it sold at my ‘home’ gallery 4 days after I hung it (a record for me!) This web was fulled at a traditional highland style ‘waulking’ at the Great Basin Fiber Festival in Utah & many friendly hands & lovely voices helped to finish this cloth, which makes it extra special to me. The weft is all handspun natural black corriedale hogget fleece from ‘Freckle Girl’ (no offense meant Jess, she is a lovely little ewe, as you can see from the bottom photo & got her name before ravelry & thanks for that, btw…) The waulking-in-progress photos are courtesy of ravelry user Margene thank you for sharing, my friend!
Forgot to mention- sett is 16 epi, even beat then enthusiastically fulled (waulked) as classic ‘clo-mor’ type heavy tweed cloth.
