This was my first sweater. The pattern is very easy and was a good pattern for a beginner. However, it looks absolutely awful on me.

I think I should have made the next size up.

The sleeves are a way baggier than in the pattern picture. That might be because of something I did or because of the yarn I used and not the pattern itself, but I’m not sure.

This shrug definitely accentuates my broad shoulders, which I do not like. It makes me look like a linebacker. My friend tried it on and it made her look terrible too. I don’t know if this problem would be remedied if I used worsted weight yarn, or if the shoulders are just too wide and the shoulder seam goes too far down on the sleeve.

I ended up just throwing this sucker in the trash.
