Gauge:

• 24 sts x 34 rnds = 4” in stockinette
• 18 sts x 36 rows = 4” in garter

I knit the blanket diagonally using the instructions from Kerry Baby Afghan. I increased to 90 sts. I was aiming for a 12” blanket but it ended up being 14.5”.

I worked the head in the round on DPNs instead of flat. I cast on 6 sts instead of 7 sts and increased to 48 sts instead of 49 sts.

I worked the arms in the round on DPNs instead of flat. The garter stitch wasn’t dense enough and the stuffing showed through so I knit the arms in stockinette instead. I cast on 16 sts instead of 14 sts.

I embroidered the face before finishing and stuffing the head so I could secure and weave in the yarn tails on the inside. I forgot to embroider the whiskers so I did that after finishing and stuffing the head.

I knit cat ears instead of bunny or bear ears. I cast on 8 sts per the instructions for the bunny inner ear. I knit 6 rows before shaping the ear top. I worked the ear shaping per the pattern but added 2 extra rows. On the first row I worked ssk and k2tog and on the second row I k2tog and fastened off.
