I made this hat to match Maddi’s Talk to the Paw Mitts. I held two strands of fingering weight yarn double.

My gauge was larger than the pattern’s so I cast on 105 sts instead of 126 sts.

I worked 4 vertical pattern repeats instead of 4.5 so the hat would be 8.25” long instead of 9.25” long. I worked a RC on crown rnd 1, a LC on crown rnd 5, and then worked the rest of the crown in stockinette.

I used a 4” diameter faux fur pom-pom from Joann Fabrics.
