I followed the directions for the size S except I knit the bottom rib for 1.5” (10 rows) per the XS directions instead of 3” (20 rows) for a finished length of 16.5”.

I used size 6 needles for the body and size 5 needles for the bottom rib and button band. I used size 6 16” circulars for the sleeve cap, size 7 DPNs for the sleeve, and size 6 DPNs for the sleeve rib.

I used Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off for the body and sleeve ribbing.

My Panel A stitches looked really sloppy even after blocking. I knit the next stitch above the YO through the back loop on the following RS row per the advice in this forum post. It made a big difference.

I don’t usually bother picking up the wrapped sleeve cap stitches, but I did this time using Andi’s tutorial on Tuts+. I think picking up the wraps is probably unnecessary because I couldn’t see a difference between this sweater and the other Andi sweaters I’ve knit.

I picked up 205 stitches for the button band. I worked seven rows before binding off instead of eight because my buttons are 5/8” instead of 3/4”. I made six buttonholes instead of five. I made the first buttonhole four stitches from the bottom instead of six and I worked the buttonholes six stitches apart instead of eight.

The button band looks a little dicey at the bottom but I’ll be wearing this cardigan open 99.9% of the time, so no one will be able to tell.
