I am in awe of this pattern, it is excellently written and I can only imagine the work that went into creating it.
This is another first for me, as I have never tried swing knitting before.
This video helped me with the double stitch, but it is really not necessary as it is explained well in the pattern.
I love how the three yarns work together - the softness of the mohair, the smoothness of the silk and the slightly heavier texture of the merino fingering for the leaves.
It has been a joy to knit. The lace edging was a bit tedious though, not because of the pattern, more because I found it difficult to see the individual stitches of the mohair yarn (note to self - get an eye test!) I ended up using a magnifying glass to pick up the 380 stitches for the three needle bind off.
It’s a birthday present for my sister, hope she loves it as much as I do.
