Notes

These notes are just for me, because I want to make this jacket again. I am not a designer and there might be mistakes or inconsistencies. Proceed with caution!!!!
* Back
Pick up 77 sts, 6,5 mm needles (cable cast-on). Rib 1x1 for 6 rows (each stitch is knit through the back loop - tbl).
7 mm needles, work in pattern as follows:
1 side st, 2 p, 30 sts Chart A, 11 p, 30 sts Chart B, 2 p, 1 side st
On the wrong side knit sts as they are.
Continue following the charts for 49 rows. In 50th row increase at the beginning and at the end of the middle 11 sts – 13 sts in the middle.
Make two more increases – in 70th and 90th rs. 17 sts in the middle.
* Shape shoulders and back neck.
In 99th row start casting off 5 sts at the beginning of every row 6 times.
At the same time for back neck – cast off 9 sts in the middle, then 7 more sts.
* Right front
With 6,5 mm needles cast on 43 sts (cable cast-on). Rib 1x1 for 6 rows (each stitch is knit through the back loop - tbl)
7 mm needles work in pattern as follows:
10 sts in 1x1 ribbing tbl, 30 sts Chart A, 2 p, 1 side st. The first st of every right size row and the last st of every wrong size row are knit in garter st.
Work as for back increasing between the first st of Chart A and ribbing.
In 100th row start casting off 5 sts at the beginning of every row 6 times.
Keep ribbing 11 sts for 10-12 rows. Leave sts on a holder.
* Left front
With 6,5 mm needles cast on 43 sts (cable cast-on). Rib 1x1 for 6 rows (each stitch is knit through the back loop - tbl)
With needles 7 mm work in pattern as follows:
1 side st, 2 p, 30 sts Chart B, 10 sts in 1x1 ribbing tbl.
The last st of every right side row and the first st of every wrong side row knit in garter st. Work as for back increasing between the first st of Chart B and ribbing.
In 99th row start casting off 5 sts at the beginning of every row 6 times.
Keep ribbing 11 sts for 10-12 rows. Leave sts on a holder.

  • Sew together back and fronts. Graft the collar and sew it to the back.

  • Sleeves With 7 mm needles pick up 44 sts around the armhole, knit in reverse st st. decreasing 2 sts in 11, 43, and 59 rows. With 6.5 needles rib for 6 rows. 71 rows total.
